The following Sedalia Police and Pettis County Sheriff's crime reports are from the morning of Wednesday, December 17, 2014.

An employee of Third National Bank reported to Sedalia Police that a customer received a scam phone call advising that she had won a sweepstakes and in order to claim the prize, the subject was required to get three green dot debit cards in the amount of $500 each. The subject did that and then also gave the suspect her account information, which in turn lead to a fraudulent withdrawal of $3,973.35. An investigation has begun.

A woman in the 900 Block of Westwood Drive reported to Sedalia Police that someone broke the handle off the door to a storage area, causing $40 in damages, on Monday (Dec. 15).

A man in the 300 Block of East 2nd reported to Sedalia Police that someone stole $30 in items from his car, yesterday (Dec. 16).

A man in the 100 Block of West Hogan, reported to Sedalia Police that someone was able to get into the tool box mounted on the bed of his truck and stole several tools yesterday (Dec. 16).

A woman reported to Sedalia Police that she was bit by two male shihtzu/rat terrier mix dogs, when the dogs were fighting. The woman tried to break up the fight and was bit on the toe, causing her to go to Bothwell Regional Health Center. The dogs were quarantined at home.

Sedalia Police arrested Cody Paxton for burglary in the 2nd degree, property damage in the 2nd, possession of drug paraphernalia, drug violation for possession of marijuana misdemeanor and stealing.

Sedalia Police arrested Chad Terry for failure to appear, bond set at $200.

Sedalia Police arrested Brittany-Marie Yolanda Robles for failure to appear, bond set at $88.50 cash.

Sedalia Police arrested James Miller for driving while suspended.
