Sedalia Police and Fire Department Investigate A Field Fire

Sedalia Police and the Sedalia Fire Department investigated a field fire that occurred in the area of 12th and Mildred on Saturday night (Jan. 24). The fire damaged 1 1/2 to 2 acres of land. The landowner reported to Sedalia Police that he did not start the fire.

Two Reports of Gun Shots Over the Weekend

Sedalia Police received a report from a woman, that her son, was shot at while walking in the area of 5th and Thompson on Saturday night.

A woman in the 500 Block of North Prospect reported to Sedalia Police that she heard gun shots on Friday (Jan. 23). The woman found possible bullet holes in her vehicle on Saturday.

Several Thefts Reported

A man in the 3200 Block of West 16th reported to Sedalia Police that someone stole $3,000 in cltohing items from a dryer last night (Jan. 25).

Pettis County Deputies received a report of a burglary that happened in the 22000 Block of Highway T in La Monte on Jan. 21 or the morning of Jan. 22. The man reported to Pettis County Deputies that several tools and $720 in cash was stolen from his home.
A woman in the 1000 Block of South Main Street in La Monte reported to Pettis County Deputies that someone tried to break into her home on Saturday night (Jan. 24) or Sunday morning (Jan. 25).

Sedalia Police investigated an attempted burglary that happened in the 1800 Block of South Warren, between Jan. 3 and Jan. 14.
Two Reports of Property Damage

A man reported to Sedalia Police that someone damaged his vehicle in the 200 Block of West 2nd, while he was making a report at the Sedalia Police Department, yesterday (Jan. 25).

A man in the 1200 Block of South Stewart reported to Sedalia Police that someone broke a window at his home, yesterday (Jan. 25).

A man in the 2400 Block of Randall Road reported to Pettis County Deputies that he was being harassed.

Sedalia Police Investigate a Dog Bite

Sedalia Police went to Bothwell Regional Health Center to investigate a dog bite that sent a victim to the Emergency Room. The victim received minor treatment and was released from the hospital. The dog belonged to the victim.

Five Arrests Made

Sedalia Police arrested Shamakeith Taylor after she was speeding in the area of 4th and Warren and led police on a vehicle chase to 7th and Osage. Sedalia Police found Taylor had a felony amount of marijuana and drug packaging materials in her vehicle. Taylor was arrested for distribution of marijuana, drug violation for possession of marijuana-felony and resisting arrest.
Sedalia Police arrested Paul Beaty and Alan Gamell for driving while suspended.

Sedalia Police arrested Jorge Pasual-Marcos for operating a motor vehicle without a valid license.

Sedalia Police arrested Ethan Schneider for driving while intoxicated (alcohol).

Pettis County Deputies arrested 49-year-old Douglas Bolejack for an active probation violation misdemeanor warrant for his arrest.
