Sedalia Police and the Pettis County Ambulance District were dispatched to the Union Pacific Railroad tracks near the intersection of E. Broadway and M Highway around 7:30 p.m. January 23 on a report of a person struck by a train. The victim was located and he was flown by helicipter to University Hospital for the treatment of serious injuries. The Sedalia Police department says the victim has not yet been identified.


Two Greenridge residents were arrested on January 23 after Sedalia Police responded to Break Time on W. Broadway for a theft in progress. According to a police report, the suspects had left by the time officers arrived, but were located nearby. Police say stolen property was recovered, and the suspects were both found to be in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. 27-year-old Calvin Wade Comfort and 21-year-old Shyanne N. Meyer were both taken to the Pettis County Jail.


The Pettis County Sheriff's Office dispatched deputies to the 4200 block of W. Main St. in reference to a reported disturbance involving several roommates on January 22. During the investigation, Israel F. Gonzalez was taken into custody and placed on a 24-hour hold pending stage charges for domestic assault.
