The following Sedalia Police and Pettis County Sheriff's Department Reports are from the morning of Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013.

Sedalia Police Receive Report on a Stand-Up Robbery

A man reported to Sedalia Police that he was at a friend's house in the 600 Block of West Pettis at 4:30 p.m. on Jan. 11. The victim reported there was a person he saw that he had prior business dealings with and he was approached by him with a gun and demanded money. The victim did not have any money and the suspect pulled him against the the vehicle's door frame while two other subjects removed a large tool box from the rear of the victim's truck. The suspect also took the driver's license and ATM card.

Sedalia Police Receive Reports of Theft

A woman in the 1200 Block of South Lamine reported to Sedalia Police that someone stole a 50-inch plasma TV, valued at $2,300.

A man in the 100 Block of South Stewart reported an Xbox controller, valued at $35, was stolen from his home Jan. 10 or Jan. 11.

A woman on McGee Road reported Pettis County Deputies that items had been stolen from her mailbox between Dec. 14 and Dec. 26.

Cork N Bottle reported to Sedalia Police that on Jan. 11, she received two checks from the bank as being forged that were written in November or December of 2012.

C&C Electric at 815 West Main reported the electrical box had been pulled from the wall and phone lines were cut between 4:30 p.m. on Jan. 14 and 8:30 a.m. on Jan. 15.

Sedalia Police Make Several Arrests

Sedalia Police arrested Richard Hixon for stealing a cell phone charger from Casey's at 1909 West Main Street.

Sedalia Police arrested Sherwin Marshall for having four Pettis County warrants, bond set at $47,500 cash/surety and a municipal warrant, bond set at $125 cash only.

Sedalia Police arrested Anesaa Sims for a failure to appear and warrant for assault, bond set at $285 cash only.

Sedalia Police arrested James Brost for driving while suspended.
