On Sunday, the Sedalia S.T.I.N.G. (Strike Team Investigations of Narcotics and Gangs) Unit served a search warrant at 1900 West 10th, Apartment C-6. The home was occupied by one suspect at the time of the service. Methamphetamine, drug packaging materials, paraphernalia, and a gun was found. During the course of the investigation, two suspects will be facing charges. 23-year old Marcus Lewis of Sedalia is charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, manufacturing a controlled substance, felon in possession of a firearm, and unlawful use of a weapon; 43-year old Trevor Anderson was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. This investigation took months to complete and would not have been successful if it weren't for tips.

 

A citizen reported to Sedalia Police that marijuana paraphernalia was found in the 1800 Block of South Barrett on July 9.

Sunday afternoon, Pettis County Deputies responded to the 500 Block of West Highway B in Green Ridge in reference to a physical assault in progress. Upon arrival deputies made contact with the victim, who said that her husband had physically assaulted her several times and shot an arrow at her using his hunting bow. Garland Jackson was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on 24-hour hold pending charges of first degree domestic assault; unlawful use of a weapon; and resisting arrest. The victim was transported by family to Bothwell Regional Health Center for treatment of her injuries.

On July 6, Pettis County Deputies responded to the 100 Block of Villa Drive in reference to a verbal domestic situation. While conducting a subject check for warrants, Sharde Smith was found to have a warrant out of Livingston County. Smith was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail, with bond set at $150 cash.

Sedalia Police received a report of an 11-year old child was was assaulted by a person known to the reporting person between March 18 and June 24.

Sunday, Sedalia Police received a report of a hit and run accident as a woman reported she was parked near the intersection of East 14th and South Center between 11 p.m. on July 7 and 12:30 a.m. on July 8.

Pettis County Deputies were dispatched to a property damage call in the 1300 Block of East Boonville Street. The suspects are unknown at this time, but the investigation continues.

A woman in the 600 Block of East 9th reported to Sedalia Police that she may be a victim of identity theft as she applied for a loan and was asked about her credit check, which found loans she never applied for.

A man reported to Sedalia Police that he has received some unusual text messages and he believes them to be a scam.

Williams Woody Nissan reported to Sedalia Police that a truck from the lot was stolen between 5 p.m. on July 7 and 8 a.m. on July 9.

Casey's at 1601 East Broadway reported to Sedalia Police that a large animal cage trap, valued at $50, belonging to the Missouri Conservation Department was stolen off their lot between 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. On July 8.

A man in the 300 Block of North Park reported to Sedalia Police that his 20-inch Mongoose bike was stolen on July 6, valued at $140.

A man in the 300 Block of West 4th reported to Sedalia Police that someone stole a passport, birth certificate, and paperwork from his vehicle between June 25 and July 9.

A woman reported to Sedalia Police that someone stole her wallet in the 1500 Block of East 9th between Noon on July 7 and 6 p.m. on July 8.

A woman reported to Sedalia Police that her purse was stolen from her trunk, while in the Wal-Mart parking lot on July 9.

Pettis County Deputies arrested 50-year old Tammy Brandkamp for an outstanding warrant for probation violation, bond set at $25,000 bond.

Sedalia Police arrested Christopher Ford for a municipal warrant, bond set at $120 cash.

Pettis County Deputies arrested Michael Dotson of Sedalia for two active failure to appear warrants out of Sedalia.
