Homeless man arrested on multiple charges Tuesday night

Just after 8:00 Tuesday night, Sedalia police served an arrest warrant in Albright Court. Upon contact with the suspect, identified as Henry Jackson III, he gave officers false information on his identity. The police report states Jackson then resisted arrest and was put in handcuffs and arrested. At the time of the police report, Jackson was on 24-hour hold pending charges of resisting arrest, 2nd degree assault, felonious restraint and ID theft. He also had a no bond warrant for a fugitive from Kansas.

Sheriff’s deputies arrest a man for trespassing at a Green Ridge Salvage Yard

Around 12:30 Tuesday afternoon, Pettis County sheriff’s Deputies responded to 15509 Dove Road in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, the reporting party told them he had caught two suspects in his salvage yard, but one of them fled the scene. Arrested in the incident was Elvis Danner. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail where he was placed on 24-hour hold pending state charges.

36-year-old Sedalia man arrested Tuesday night for driving while suspended

At 8:23 Tuesday night, Sedalia police conducted a traffic stop at 10th and Thompson Blvd. for making an improper turn after failing to signal for a turn.  A subsequent check on the driver, 36-year-old Binh Phoung Bui of Sedalia, revealed he was a suspended driver out of Florida. He was arrested and taken to the Pettis County jail pending a $531.50 bond.

Traffic stop nets a suspended driver Tuesday night

Around 10:30 Tuesday night,Sedalia police stopped a vehicle at Broadway and Grand for no license plate light. A check through dispatch found the driver, 23-year-old Michael Wise of Sedalia, was a suspended driver. Bond on Wise was set at $531.50.

Vehicle stop Tuesday afternoon results in arrest for a 46-year-old Sedalia man

Just after 4:00 Tuesday afternoon, Sedalia police stopped a vehicle at 4th and Limit. A check on the driver, 46-year-old Bobby Huffman of Sedalia, revealed he was revoked. At the time of the police report, Huffman was on 24-hour hold in the Pettis County Jail pending formal charges.

25-year-old Sedalia man arrested for failure to appear

At 4:39 Tuesday afternoon, Sedalia police arrested 25-year-old Derek Hughes of Sedalia on a failure to appear warrant. At the time of the police report, he was in the Pettis County jail pending $188.50 cash only bond.

Home on South Brown suffers damage from thieves and vandals

Tuesday afternoon, a complainant filed a theft and property damage complaint on a house in the 1500 block of South Brown. According to the complainant, she found that a house which she has a listing on had the copper piping cut out, which resulted in a flooded basement. She also reported holes had been punched in the ceiling. There was no estimate on repairs.

Local business reports a burglary overnight

At 8:00 Tuesday morning, an employee of Rotor Rooter located at 3228 East Broadway reported that someone broke into the business sometime overnight. The thief or thieves gained entry by kicking in a fiberglass overhead door in the back of the building. There were some checks and cash taken in the burglary. There were no suspects at news time.
