Sedalia Police Investigate a Threat Rumor

Yesterday afternoon (Dec. 13), Sedalia Police went to investigate a possible threat a juvenile heard while at Smith Cotton Junior High School. There was not any specific weapon mentioned, nor a specific time mentioned about this threat. There is a suspect that Sedalia Police is investigating.

Child Abuse Case Investigated by Pettis County Deputies

The Pettis County Sheriff's Office investigated an alleged child abuse involving a 4-year-old white female. The incident was reported to have occurred in rural Pettis County on Dec. 5. The incident is currently under investigation by the Pettis County Sheriff's Office and the Pettis County Children's Division.

Several Thefts Reported

Pettis County Deputies recovered a vehicle reported stolen to the Sedalia Police Department at the intersection of Highway MM and Yeater Road. The vehicle was returned to the owner.

Burger King reported to Sedalia Police that there was approximately $1,200 of product missing in the last week.

A man in the 1300 Block of East 3rd, reported to Sedalia Police that a storage shed on a vacant lot was broken into sometime between Dec. 6 and 12.

A man in the 2300 Block of East 28th reported to the Pettis County Sheriff's Office that someone stole wiring from his property sometime on overnight on Dec. 12.

A man in the 2400 Block of Stacey Lane reported to Sedalia Police that he has been receiving magazines, getting calls from businesses and his name was put on a dating site sometime since Nov. 13.

A woman reported to the Pettis County Deputies that someone has been using her identity in the State of Montana between Dec. 1 and 13.

Several Arrests Made

Sedalia Police arrested Michael Burgess for stealing $31.54 in batteries from Walmart, bond set at $531.50 cash/surety.

Sedalia Police arrested Jonathan Campbell for having a failure to appear charge on backed fines for property damage, bond set at $364 cash.

Sedalia Police arrested Amanda Mcateir for a failure to appear charge, bond set at $177 cash.

Pettis County Deputies arrested Brandon Blaylock for possession of a controlled substance in the Pettis County Jail.

Sedalia Police arrested Cara Bomeke for driving while suspended.
