The following Sedalia Police and Pettis County Sheriff's Reports are for the morning of Friday, Feb. 1, 2013.

Several Thefts Reported in Area

Pettis County Deputies received a report from the City of Houstonia that city property was stolen from the 100 Block of 1st Street in Houstonia between Aug. 15, 2012 and Dec. 20, 2012.

Sedalia Police were dispatched to an alarm in the 300 Block of West Main Street on the morning of Jan. 27. Sedalia Police discovered a rear door to the business had been forced open and entry was made into the business. The owner reported that nothing appeared missing.

A woman in the 1200 Block of South Lamine reported to Sedalia Police that someone broke into her home and stole a bed valued at $1,035 on Jan. 15.

A woman in the 500 Block of East 2nd reported to Sedalia Police that a laptop valued at $650 was stolen from her home between Jan. 27 and 31.

A woman reported to Sedalia Police that she had lost $430 in the Walmart parking lot around 6:30 p.m. Jan. 31.

 

Sedalia Police Make Two Arrests

Sedalia Police arrested Dorothy Treese for a failure to appear on a Sedalia Municipal warrant, bond set at $200 cash. Treese also was found to have a failure to appear out of Benton County, bond set at $1,000 cash/surety.

Sedalia Police arrested Kenton Bressie for failure to appear for failing to pay back fines, bond set at $233.50 cash only.
