The following Sedalia Police and Pettis County Sheriff's Reports are from the morning of Friday, April 5, 2013.

Sedalia Police Involved in A Foot Pursuit

Wednesday afternoon (Apr. 3), Sedalia Police observed a vehicle use a private parking lot to avoid a red light at 32nd and Highway 65. When the vehicle stopped, the driver fled from the vehicle. After a short foot chase, Sedalia Police arrested Bruce Fizer for driving while revoked and resisting arrest.

Several Thefts Reported

A man in the 3200 Block of South Kentucky reported to Sedalia Police that someone forced entry in his detached garage and stole multiple items. The items stolen included a Stihl chainsaw, valued at $186; Dewalt circular saw, valued at $130 and a set of cordless Workforce brand 20-volt power tools, valued at $450. There was also a wheel and tire valued at $215 that was removed from a vehicle.

A woman in the 400 Block of East 7th reported to Sedalia Police that a small child's electric motorcycle was stolen between 8 p.m. on Apr. 2 and 8 a.m. on Apr. 4.

A woman in the 600 Block of South Barrett reported to Sedalia Police that someone entered the home and some items were possibly taken.

Several Arrests Made

Walmart staff reported to Sedalia Police that someone stole $40.96 in items on April 4. Sedalia Police later arrested Nicholas Bowlan for stealing.

Sedalia Police arrested Sherrell Peck for a Pettis County failure to appear charge of 3rd degree assault, $25,000 cash/surety.

Sedalia Police arrested Daryl Rasa for having a Dallas County warrant, bond set at $200 cash only.

Sedalia Police arrested Joseph Hutchinson for failure to appear for driving while intoxicated.
