The following Sedalia Police and Pettis County Sheriff's Department reports are from the morning of Friday, Jan. 11, 2013.

Sedalia Police Involved in Two Pursuits

Yesterday (Jan. 10), Sedalia Police went to the 700 Block of East 15th on a report of a disturbance and theft of a vehicle in progress. Suspects were attempting to load a vehicle onto a trailer and they tried to get away. The suspects left the city limits and dumped the vehicle into a ditch. Tiffany Morrill was arrested and charged with domestic assault in the 3rd, stealing of a motor vehicle and property damage in the 2nd.

Yesterday morning (Jan. 10), Sedalia Police attempted a traffic stop on a speeding vehicle in the area of 50th and Herold Avenue. The vehicle fled and Sedalia Police were able to get the vehicle registration, but stopped the pursuit. At 5 a.m., Sedalia Police saw the vehicle on South Ohio, with the suspect driving.  Police attempted to stop the driver again, but the vehicle fled. Sedalia Police were able to identify the driver, but did not name the driver in the report. Sedalia Police are seeking charges of speeding, careless and imprudent driving and resisting arrest.

Several Thefts Reported

A man reported to Sedalia Police that while he was working at Waterloo, someone broke into his car and stole $375 and cigarettes out of his truck yesterday morning (Jan. 10).

A man reported to Pettis County Deputies that his wallet was stolen from a parked car in the 3600 Block of Petree Street.

A man reported to Sedalia Police that both his license plates were stolen in the 600 Block of South Grand, between 5 p.m. on Jan. 9 and 3 p.m. on Jan. 10.

Breaktime at 808 East Broadway reported a $20.37 gas drive off.

Pettis County Deputies received a report that someone was harassing a victim via phone in the 30000 Block of Highway M.
