The following Sedalia Police and Pettis County Sheriff's Reports are from the morning of Jan. 18, 2013.

Two Suspects Attempt to Resist Sedalia Police

Yesterday (Jan. 17), Sedalia Police attempted to stop a vehicle after seeing it commit numerous violations. The driver originally failed to stop for a traffic stop, where he continued to travel west on Main Street as if he was attempting to flee. The vehicle finally came to a stop at a nearby trailer park. Sedalia Police were able to identify the suspect, Darren Danner, and found he was driving while revoked and arrested him. Danner was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving while revoked and resisting arrest.

Yesterday (Jan. 17), Sedalia Police went to the 800 Block of West 5th to investigate a domestic assault. As police arrived on the scene, the suspect hid behind a locked door in an upstairs bedroom. Jared Sanders was arrested for domestic assault in the 2nd and resisting arrest.

Yesterday (Jan. 17), John Baker of Green Ridge was arrested at Walmart for 3rd Degree Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer. Baker was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was placed on a 24-hour hold pending the filing of formal charges by the prosecutors office.

Sedalia Police Receive Report of Property Damage

Sedalia Police received a report that two mailboxes were damaged by an unknown vehicle in the 3000 Block of Clarendon Road between 10:30 p.m. on Jan. 16 and 7 a.m. on Jan. 17.

A man in the 2800 Block of Westlake Drive reported to Pettis County Deputies that someone has stolen several items from his mailbox.

Pettis County Deputies received a report from a man in the 2600 Block of South Marshall that somebody stole his identity between Jan. 10 and Jan. 17.

Several Arrests Reported

Sedalia Police arrested David Davis and Kaitlyn Powell for stealing over $120 in merchandise combined from Walmart, bond set at $533.50.

Sedalia Police arrested Sarah McAteer for failure to appear for backfines, bond set at $130.80 cash only.

Sedalia Police arrested Samantha Kearney-Cripps for failure to appear, bond set at $88.50.
