The following Sedalia Police and Pettis County Sheriff's Reports are from the morning of Monday, Jan. 28, 2013.

Sedalia Police Make a Traffic Stop and Find Drugs in the Car

Sedalia Police stopped a white Chevy truck on Saturday (Jan. 26) after a traffic violation and report stated that it had forced a vehicle off the roadway near the intersection of State Fair Boulevard and Pro Energy Drive. Sedalia Police detected an odor of alcohol and conducted a sobriety test. 24-year-old Dexter Dunkin failed the tests and was arrested. Sedalia Police found marijuana and paraphernalia in the car. The passengers in the vehicle were identified as juveniles. Dunkin was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

Sedalia Police Investigate An Assault

Sedalia Police received a report of a possible assault in the 1700 Block of East Broadway. The caller said that he was assaulted by another man while he was trying to get into his vehicle.

Multiple Thefts Reported in Area

A man reported to Sedalia Police that a washer and dryer was stolen from a vacant home in the 300 Block of East Morgan.

A man in the 1300 Block of South Marshall reported to Sedalia Police that a spare tire was stolen off a trailer that was parked at his home between Jan. 19 and 25.

A woman in the 1600 Block of Liberty Park Boulevard reported to Sedalia Police that her wallet was stolen between Jan. 13 and 27.

Sedalia Police Investigate a Dog Bite

A 9-year-old boy was bitten by a dog on Saturday (Jan. 26) in the 3300 Block of South Stewart. The dog belonged to a neighbor and the boy was taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center for having a small laceration to the back lower part of his leg.

Several Arrests Made Over the Weekend

Pettis County Deputies arrested Kevin Fields for domestic assault and possession of a controlled substance. Total bond on Fields was set at $15,000.

Sedalia Police arrested Sherwood Limback for having a Cass County warrant, bond set at $1,500.

Sedalia Police arrested Tonya Cruz Gonzalez for having two failure to appears, total bond set at $236.50.

Sedalia Police arrested Douglas Burlingame for having a Sedalia warrant, bond set at $86.50

Pettis County Deputies arrested Michael Fritchey for having an outstanding warrant.

Pettis County Deputies arrested Johnnie Stewart on a pending arrest warrant.

Pettis County Deputies arrested Hayley Shelley for a traffic violation. Shelley was found to be driving while her license was suspended.

Pettis County Deputies arrested Alejandro Zarate Nava for a domestic assault that occurred in the 26000 Block of Dexter Road.

Sedalia Police arrested Brianna Johnson and Alla Mishchuck for stealing from Walmart.
