The following Sedalia Police and Pettis County Sheriff's Reports are from the morning of Wednesday, Mar. 20, 2013.

Sedalia Police Arrest Two Men Trying to Entice Children

Monday afternoon (Mar. 18), Sedalia Police went to the 500 Block of South Lafayette to investigate a report that a man was offering alcohol to kids. Sedalia Police also learned a suspect asked the children to perform sexual acts and perform sexual acts on the children. Sedalia Police arrested Richard Brummet and John Nevels for enticement of a child. in addition, Nevels was arrested for driving while revoked and having an open container.

Several Thefts Occurred

A 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix four-door was stolen in the 800 Block of East 4th between 10:30 and 11 a.m. on Mar. 19.

A man in the 900 Block of West Broadway reported to Sedalia Police that someone broke into his car between 1 p.m. Oo Mar. 18 and 7:41 a.m. on Mar. 19 and stole a Kenwood CD player out of the dash valued at $120.

A woman in the 300 Block of North Grand reported to Sedalia Police that a white male had taken cash and a hammer from her home on Mar. 19 between 5:30 and 6 p.m.

A woman in the 1300 Block of South Lamine reported to Sedalia Police that a $100 ring was stolen between Mar. 4 and 8.

A man in the 400 Block of East 7th reported to Sedalia Police that someone scratched the driver's side door of his car and put dirt and a stick though the sun roof yesterday afternoon (Mar. 19) between 3 and 4 p.m.

Reese Auto Repair at 1401 West 32nd Street reported to Pettis County Deputies that some property was damaged outside the repair shop.

Sedalia Police investigated a burglary in the 1400 Block of South Moniteau between 5:30 a.m. on Mar. 17 and 10:59 p.m. on Mar. 19.

Sedalia Police investigated a burglary in the 700 Block of Wilkerson on Mar. 19.

Appleton Utility Construction reported to Sedalia Police that 200 feet of fiber optic cable valued at $500 was stolen from the intersection of East 9th and South Hancock between 12:30 p.m. on Mar. 15 and 9 a.m. on Mar. 19.

Ag Coop at 2420 Clinton Road reported to Sedalia Police that someone stole two vehicle batteries valued at $150 apiece from a company truck that was parked on the lot between 5 p.m. on Mar. 15 and 9:30 am. on Mar. 19.

Sedalia Police Make Arrests

Sedalia Police arrested Ryan Booze for failure to appear for a seat belt violation, bond set at $10.

Sedalia Police arrested Isai Tello for driving while suspended.
