The following Sedalia Police and Pettis County Sheriff's Reports are from the morning of Wednesday, May 1, 2013.

Sedalia Police Investigate Two Assaults

Someone reported to Sedalia Police that they were the victim of sexual assault about a year ago in the 800 Block of West 3rd.

A man reported to Sedalia Police that he was assaulted early this morning (May 1) by an unknown man in an alley in the 300 Block of West Broadway. The suspect was seen in a silver Chevy Cavalier with no license plates.

Several Thefts Reported

A man in the 1200 Block of Liberty Park Blvd. reported to Sedalia Police that someone took his wallet and spent $846.48 from his bank account card between noon on April 29 and noon on April 30.

A man in the 600 Block of South Hancock reported to Sedalia Police that someone stole scrap metal out of the bed of his truck on April 30 between 11 a.m. and noon.

A woman in the 700 Block of West 10th reported to Sedalia Police that someone broke into her home yesterday (April 30), but nothing appeared stolen.

Murphy USA reported a $46 gas drive off.

Jiffy Stop at 1722 West Broadway reported a $10.46 gas drive off.

A witness reported to Sedalia Police that he saw what appeared to be a white garbage truck, strike a traffic light as it was traveling east on Broadway near Winchester. The truck kept on driving and did not stop. The Missouri Department of Transportation came and fixed the light.

Several Arrests Made

Sedalia Police arrested Teresa Card for a probation violation out of Cole County and Jefferson City, bond set at $200 cash/surety.

Sedalia Police arrested James Miller for failure to appear, bond set at $194 cash.
