Sedalia Police Investigate Two Gun Incidents

Last night (Mar. 30), Sedalia Police went to 3rd and State Fair on a report of shots fired. Sedalia Police determined that the suspect fired a gun at the victim while both vehicles were driving down the roadway. The incident stems from an ongoing dispute between the suspect and the victim. No one was injured. Sedalia Police arrested 30-year-old Brandon Ashcraft for assault in the 1st, unlawful use of a weapon, armed criminal action and two charges of endangering the welfare of a child.

Last night (Mar. 30), Sedalia Police went to Vermont Park after there was a report that a man had a gun and was running down the street being chased. Sedalia Police checked the area of South Grand and West 13th and were not able to find the man in question.

Pettis County Deputies and Fire Department Receive Report of Car Fire

Pettis County Deputies and the Pettis County Fire Department responded to a report of a vehicle on fire in the 21000 Block of Palmer Road on morning of Mar. 30. The vehicle is considered a total loss.

Several Thefts Reported

A man in the 500 Block of North Osage, reported to Sedalia Police that someone stole two metal shovels, Dewalt circular saw, 16-gallon shop vac, metal pick, case of light bulbs, rolls of electrical wiring and one lock on lock and harp and storage door on the night of Mar. 29.

Pettis County Deputies received a report from a woman in the 33000 Block of Providence Road in Smithton that someone stole copper piping and a windowpane between Mar. 28 and 31.

Cork 'n Bottle at 3806 East Broadway reported to Sedalia Police that there was a $47.01 gas drive off last night (Mar. 31).

Several Arrests Made

Sedalia Police arrested Alphonso Ferguson for driving while revoked, assault and a probation violation, bond set at $533.50.

Sedalia Police arrested Nicole Vanhook for driving while suspended, bond set at $533.50.

Sedalia Police arrested Jessica Pruitt for a Pettis County failure to appear, bond set at $190 cash.

Pettis County Deputies and the Smithton Police Department arrested Bryan Stevenson on a warrant arrest and charges of distribution of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and paraphernalia.

Sedalia Police arrested Angelia Gerloff for driving while revoked and persistant offender.

Sedalia Police arrested Chad Arnwine for possession of a controlled substance.
