The following Sedalia Police and Pettis County Sheriff’s reports are from the morning of Monday, Dec. 10, 2012

Several Thefts Reported in Area

A man reported to Sedalia Police that his 2003 Ford Mustang was stolen from the area of South Missouri and East Cooper between 12:30 and 12:45 p.m. on Dec. 7.

A man from Independence reported to Sedalia Police that several items were stolen from his 2006 Dodge Dakota parked in the 400 Block of East 7th between 2 and 8:30 a.m. on Dec. 8.

Rest Haven reported to Sedalia Police that a Faberge egg and Vizio flat screen TV had been stolen from a deceased woman’s room between Nov. 28 and Dec. 3.

The Smith Cotton High School reported that approximately $300 cash was stolen from an unlocked locker on Dec. 4.

Officials at the Smith Cotton Junior High School reported that a Kindle reading device was stolen from the school library. The Kindle was valued at approximately $100.

A man in the 1800 Block of South Missouri reported to Sedalia Police that someone stole a clothes display rack, valued at $75, from beside his home between 6 p.m. on Nov. 27 and 6 p.m. on Nov. 28.

Sedalia Police Investigate Two Assaults

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 400 Block of East Broadway Boulevard to assist the Children’s Division in a sexual assault investigation on Dec. 7.

Pettis County Deputies received a report of a domestic assault and an incident of endangering the welfare of a child while in the 33000 Block of Dilthey Road on Dec. 9.

A woman in the 200 Block of South Grand reported to Sedalia Police that someone egged her house between 12:45 and 12:55 a.m. on Dec. 9.

Several Arrests Made Over the Weekend

Sedalia Police arrested Bonifacio Talavera-Cano for driving while suspended and a failure to appear warrant, total bond set at $6,200 cash/surety.

Sedalia Police arrested James Ritzo for driving while intoxicated, bond set at $531.50 cash/surety.

Sedalia Police arrested Audrey Wright for a failure to appear charge for assault, bond set at $200 cash.

Sedalia Police arrested Amber Smith for a failure to appear charge, bond set at $155 cash.

Sedalia Police arrested Billy Brown for failure to appear charge, bond set at $114 cash.

Sedalia Police arrested James Hood for a failure to appear charge on an expired vehicle license, bond set at $88.50 cash.

Sedalia Police arrested Donald Green and Jeremy Butts for driving while suspended.

Sedalia Police arrested David Rodriguez for driving while revoked.
