The following Sedalia Police and Pettis County Sheriff's Reports come from the morning of Monday, Dec. 31, 2012

Several Sedalia Business Report Thefts

Golden Corral reported to Sedalia Police that someone had taken $600 from one of the cash registers between Dec. 15 and 29.

Sutherlands reported to Sedalia Police that a white enclosed 6 by 12 foot trailer was stolen between Dec. 26 and 30.

Yesterday afternoon (Dec. 30), a woman reported to Sedalia Police that a laptop was stolen from McDonald's at 3101 West Broadway, while she stepped away from the table. The McDonald's video surveillance saw a white female in a striped shirt and skirt took the laptop out of the restaurant.

Casey's at 716 West 16th reported to Sedalia Police that there was a $41.74 gas drive off.

More Thefts From Vehicles Reported

A man in the 400 Block of East 2nd reported to Sedalia Police that yesterday (Dec. 30), between 11 a.m. And 1:30 p.m., someone stole a blue mp3 player, $15 in change and a Skylight Financial paycheck card from four of his vehicles.

A woman reported to Sedalia Police that several items were stolen from her vehicle in the 1600 Block of South Kentucky between 6 and 8:10 p.m. Dec. 28.

Several Arrests Made

Sedalia Police was in the area of 4th and Emmitt at 2 p.m. Dec. 30 and they saw a subject jump off his bike and run into a nearby residence after the suspect saw officers. Sedalia Police made contact with the owner of the home, who said nobody came in, and then the suspect came to the door. Christopher Smith was arrested for a parole violation warrant.

Sedalia Police arrested Kenneth Lacey for driving while revoked, bond set at $531.50 and having a Benton County warrant, bond set at $1,200 cash only or $20,000 surety.

Pettis County Deputies arrested 27-year old Eric Janes on a probation and parole no bond warrant, and he was taken to the Pettis County jail.
