The following Sedalia Police reports are from the morning of Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012.

Sedalia Police Investigate a Hit and Run

Last night (Dec. 11) at 5:56 p.m., Sedalia Police wen to the Auto Zone at 2601 West Broadway to investigate a report that a vehicle struck a pedestrian. Sedalia Police learned the suspect vehicle struck two pedestrians and hit one of them twice. The suspect fled the area and one victim was taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center.

Sedalia Police Investigate Thefts

Westlake Hardware at 1010 Thompson Boulevard reported to Sedalia Police that someone stole from the business on Dec. 8. The suspect came back into the store on Dec.10 and attempted to write a check for $184.38 in items. The cashier found the check came from a closed account and the suspect left the store before Sedalia Police could get there. It is believed the subject also committed similar offenses in Clinton, Mo.

Lucky Chinese at 2700 West Broadway reported to Sedalia Police that someone tried to gain entry into the business but was unable to get inside.

Sedalia Police received a report that someone threw a piece of concrete through a front passenger side window and stole a billfold from the passenger seat last night (Dec. 11).

A woman reported to Sedalia Police that several items were taken from the home in the 500 Block of East 5th on Dec. 10 between 6:30 a.m.and 3:30 p.m.

A woman in the 3000 Block of West 10th reported to Sedalia Police that someone fraudulently removed money from her bank account on Nov. 28 or Nov. 29.

Sedalia Police arrested Malcolm Briscoe for having two Pettis County warrants, bond set at $35,000.
