The following crime and accident reports are from the afternoon of Jan. 24, 2013.
27-year-old Sedalia woman arrested Wednesday for failure to appear
At 1:09 Wednesday afternoon, Sedalia police made contact with a suspect at a residence in the 900 block of West Broadway with two active warrants. Arrested at the residence was 27-year-old Jennifer Hammond of Sedalia. At the time of the police report, Hammond was being held in the Pettis County Jail pending a $50,000 bond for failure to appear on a dangerous drug charge and a $3500 bond for failure to appear on a larceny charge.
Female victim reports her scooter stolen Wednesday night
Just after 10:00 Wednesday night, Sedalia police responded to a theft complaint at a residence in the 100 block of South Stewart. Upon arrival, the female victim told officers someone had stolen her Double X Pro Razor Scooter from her front porch. There was no information on a possible suspect at news time.
Cole Camp man injured in a Benton County accident Wednesday afternoon
At 2:30 Wednesday afternoon, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a two-vehicle injury accident on Missouri 52 at Brockman Avenue in Benton County. The accident reportedly occurred as the 1994 GMC Sierra driven by 61-year-old Rodger Luetjen of Cole Camp attempted a left turn on Missouri 52 onto Brockman Avenue. The turn caused the 1999 Nissan driven by 59-year-old Glen Roberts of Cole Camp to impact the Luetjen vehicle. Luetjen received moderate injuries and was transported to Bothwell Hospital by Cole Camp EMS for treatment.
