Sedalia Police reports 1-17-19

Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop Tuesday at 10:25 p.m. and 2nd and Winchester on a weaving vehicle. A computer check revealed that 26-year-old Arturo Lopez of Sedalia was driving without a valid driver's licence. He was taken to the SPD and fingerprinted, identified and issued a citation. Arturo now has a Feb. 20 court date.


The Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested 50-year-old Danny L. Ebersold of Otterville at 12:51 a.m. in Pettis County for driving while intoxicated. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released.


 

Sedalia Police investigated three minor car crashes on Tuesday. The first involved two vehicles near Main and Missouri at 4:12 p.m. Michael Taylor of Houstonia said he was westbound on Main from Missouri when snow fell on his windshield. He couldn't see where he was going, so he pulled over to the side of the road and hit a parked car. The second accident involved a westbound vehicle that was stopped in the roadway near Main and Park around 3:30 p.m. Another vehicle struck the rear of the stopped vehicle in the inside lane. Both drivers declined medical treatment. The third accident happened on the South Limit bridge over West Main. The driver, Jason Murray of Cole Camp, said he was northbound on Limit at 310 a.m., when he lost control and his vehicle skidded back and forth, making contact with the guard rail, eventually overturning on its passenger side. The vehicle had major damage to the front bumper. Murray refused medical attention, according to the report. His vehicle was towed by Don's Truck Towing.


 

Two Sedalians were injured in a one-vehicle wreck that occurred at 7:26 a.m. Tuesday when a southbound 1999 Ford Expedition driven by 27-year-old Amber D. Aldrich of Sedalia lost control due to the ice-covered roadway and traveled off the left side of Route M, south of Route W in Pettis County. The vehicle then overturned. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Aldrich and her six-year-old passenger, Ashton D. McDaniel both suffered minor injuries and were transported to Bothwell by PCAD.


 

The Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested 52-year-old Carl E. Tilman of Green Ridge at 5:15 p.m. Thursday in Jackson County. He was taken to the Lone Jack Police Department where he was booked and released for driving while intoxicated.
