30-year-old Sedalia woman arrested Sunday night on warrants

Around 9 o'clock Sunday night, Sedalia police stopped a vehicle at 16th and Missouri for expired license plates. A check on the driver, 30-year-old Amanda Bobbitt of Sedalia, revealed she was suspended and had two active warrants.  Bobbitt was on 24-hour hold at the Pettis County Jail for driving while suspended, and pending bonds of $25,125 on the two warrants at the time of the police report.

 

Disturbance investigation results in arrest for a 29-year-old Sedalia man

Just before 1 o'clock this morning, Sedalia police investigated a disturbance in the 700 block of East 10th. Upon arrival, a female victim told the officers that 29-year-old Noah Rader of Sedalia had refused to leave her home after repeated request to do so. The police report states Rader was also found to be in possession of marijuana. Rader was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail pending a bond of $281 for trespassing and $531.50 bond for possession of marijuana.

 

20-year-old Sedalia man in jail pending $5,000 bond on a Pettis County Warrant

Just before 10 o'clock Sunday night, Sedalia police stopped a vehicle at 3rd and Missouri for a defective tail light. Upon contact with the suspect, 20-year-old Larry Washington Jr. he was found to have an active Pettis County Warrant. At the time of the police report Washington was being held in the Pettis County jail pending a $5,000 bond.

 

Revoked driver arrested Sunday night during a traffic stop

At 7:30 Sunday night Sedalia police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with a driver who was revoked at 18th and Vermont. The driver, 51-year-old Daniel Delana of Sedalia, was arrested at the scene and taken to the Pettis County Jail, where he was placed on 24-hour hold pending formal charges.

 

Thieves target newspaper stands on the East side of Sedalia

Early Sunday morning a victim reported the theft of papers from news stands on East Broadway. According to the Sedalia police report, thieves stole papers from the stand beside the Wood's Supermarket building in the 700 block of Broadway and from the stand at the Breaktime Convenience Store at 808 East Broadway. The value of the stolen papers was placed at $60. The police report also states there may be surveillance video in the case.

 

Vandals target a pool and a truck in the 600 block of Wilkerson

Around 7:30 Sunday morning, a victim in the 600 block of Wilkerson reported a case of vandalism to the Sedalia police. The victim told the officers sometime overnight someone had punched holes in his above the ground swimming pool and poured some type of liquids on his truck. There were no suspects at newstime.

 

Thieves steal furniture and other household items from a house on West 10th

Just after 2 o'clock Friday afternoon, Sedalia police took a theft complaint from a victim in the 400 block of West 10th. According to the victim someone stole a table and chairs, a dresser, ond other household items from her home sometime between the 1st and the 20th of July.  There were no suspects at news time.

 

Traffic stop for expired plates results in driving while suspended charges for a Sedalia man

Around 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon Sedalia police stopped a vehicle at Broadway and Engineer for expired plates. Upon contact with the driver, 48-year-old Luis Solis of Sedalia, he was found to be suspended. He was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail pending $531.50 bond on charges of driving while suspended, no insurance and expired tags.

During a traffic stop Sunday night Sedalia police arrested 27-year-old Terrance L. Peoples Jr. on a city failure to appear warrant and a Pettis County failure to appear warrant. Bond on the two warrants total $315 cash only.

Sunday night, 25-year-old Qwenhauda Peoples of Sedalia was arrested on a City of Sedalia warrant for failure to appear. Her bond was set at $200 cash only.
