Vehicle stop nets a suspended driver this  morning

At 5 o'clock this morning, Sedalia police stopped a vehicle in the area of 20th and Kentucky for expired plates. A check through dispatch revealed the driver, 58-year-old Gary Clark of Hughsville was suspended. At the time of the police report, Clark was in the Pettis County Jail pending $531.50 bond.

 

3-vehicle crash in Johnson County injures seven people

Just before 5 o'clock Thursday evening, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a three vehicle accident on Missouri Route "DD" Just East of County Road Southeast 421, in Johnson County. The accident occurred according to the report when the driver of a 1999 Mercury, 16-year-old Robert M. Palomo of Warrensburg, failed to yield to the 2004 Chevrolet, driven by 55-year-old Sheryl Grant of Windsor, as he attempted to turn into a parking lot. The Grant vehicle struck the Palomo vehicle in the front, causing it to strike the 2007 Honda driven by 36-year-old Jennifer Swafford of Whiteman AFB as it sat stationary in the parking lot waiting to enter "DD." The Grant vehicle traveled off the roadway, and overturned coming to rest on its passenger side. Palamo received minor injuries, while his passenger, 55-year-old Robert B. Palomo of Warrensburg, suffered serious injuries and was taken to Research Medical Center for treatment.  Grant and a female passenger, 32-year-old Melissa Fontain of Kalamazoo, Michigan, received moderate injuries in the wreck, while the other three passengers in her vehicle, which were listed as children ages 12, four and an infant received minor injuries. All the occupants of the grant vehicle were taken to Western Missouri Medical Center by Johnson County Ambulance for treatment.

 

One vehicle accident in Saline County seriously injures a Slater woman

Around 9:30 Thursday night, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a one-vehicle accident that occurred on Montana Avenue a mile from 347 Trail in Saline County. The accident reportedly happened when the driver of a 1995 Mercury, 27-year-old  Erika Lunn of Slater, lost control of her vehicle on a gravel road, travelled off the roadway and overturned. Lunn was seriously injured in the accident and was taken gto the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia by Air-Evac for treatment.
