Sexual misconduct investigated in the 1200 block of Douglas Lane Friday night

On Friday night, the Children’s Division of the Sedalia Police Department assisted the Division of Social services in an investigation of a sexual misconduct case that happened in the 1200 block of Douglas lane. According to the police report the investigation is ongoing.

 

Sedalia home burglarized while family was at church

Around 11:30 Sunday morning, the Sedalia police investigated a burglary complaint in the 700 block of South Lafayette Ave. According to the victims, someone entered their home and stole a window air conditioner, a central air conditioner and some baby clothes from the home while they were at Church earlier in the morning. The victims also said the thieves got into the garage and scrapped three air conditioners, taking anything that could be sold and leaving the rest. There was no information on suspects at the time of the police report.

 

Sedalia Park Department report thefts at a concession stand

At 7:45 Saturday night, Sedalia police responded to Centennial Park on a reported theft from a concession stand. According to the police report, someone entered the concession stand and stole $693 in cash from inside the locked building. There were no suspects at news time.

 

Expired registration leads to arrest on a Pettis County Warrant

Just after 3 o’clock Friday afternoon Sedalia police stopped a vehicle at 14th and Limit for expired registration. A check on the driver, 54-year-old Scharlie Mitchell of Sedalia, showed they had an active warrant out of Pettis County. At the time of the police report Mitchell was in the Pettis County Jail pending $2500 bond.

 

Sedalia man arrested on a charge of possession Early Sunday morning

Early Sunday morning, Sedalia police observed two male subjects in an alleyway in the area of 19th and Ohio. The police report states one of the subjects ran away and was not apprehended.  A check on the other subject found he was in possession of a controlled substance. Arrested at the scene was 24-year-old Bradley Raybourn of Sedalia, who was taken to the Pettis County jail on 24-hour hold pending $7500 bond.

 

21-year-old Sedalia woman arrested on a Mercer County Warrant

Around 4 o’clock Friday afternoon, Sedalia police arrested 21-year-old Gena Sistanich of Sedalia on a Mercer County Warrant for failure to appear. She was taken to the Pettis County jail pending $1500 bond.

 

Loud noise call results in arrest for a suspect on obstruction charge

At 3:16 Sunday morning, Sedalia police investigated a complaint of loud noise in the area of North Missouri and Cooper Ave. The police report states upon arrival they found subjects in the middle of the road who were asked to leave the area. One of the subjects, identified as 23-year-old Quinton Brown of Sedalia, refused to leave the area, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County jail pending $531.50 bond on a charge of obstruction.

 

Warrensburg man arrested Sunday evening on a failure to appear warrant

Just after 6 o’clock Sunday evening, Sedalia police served a Pettis County Warrant on Cory Lewis of Warrensburg for failure to appear. The police report states the warrant was served on Lewis at the Pettis County Jail, where he was incarcerated at the time. Bond on the warrant is $250 cash only.

 

18-year-old Rachael Wirtz was arrested Saturday night on a municipal failure to appear warrant. Bond was set at $150 cash only.

 

Murphy USA at 3203 West Broadway reported a $26.06 gas drive off, around 8 o’clock Sunday night.
