Hunnewell Mo. Man arrested for DWI and DWR Monday night

At 11:18 Monday night, Sedalia police conducted a traffic stop at 3rd and Washington. The police report states a field sobriety test was given to the driver, Richard Shull of Hunnewell Missouri, and as a result he was arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated and driving while revoked. At the time of the police report Shull was on 24-hour hold at the Pettis County Jail pending formal charges.

 

ATV purchased in Kansas City was found to be stolen from Henry County

At 9:35 Sunday night, Sedalia police investigated a report from a victim,who reportedly bought an ATV in Kansas City she believes could have been stolen. Upon contact with the victim, she told officers she bought the ATV in March. A check on the vehicle identification number revealed the ATV had been stolen from Henry County in January of 2010. The police report states the vehicle is in police custody pending notifying the original owner. There was no other information available at news time.

 

Suspect follows a victim, and causes damage to their vehicle

At 8:28 Monday night, a victim called the police department to report they were being followed by a suspect in a vehicle who had thrown an object at his vehicle, broke the driver’s side rear-view mirror, then left the area. The police report states the victim was able to get the suspect vehicle’s license number.

 

Park Department reports a theft Monday night

At 7:22 Monday night, Sedalia police took a theft complaint from the Sedalia Park’s Department. According to the complainant, someone cut the lock on the gate at 4001 West 32nd and stole the "number 16” disc golf target from the park. The value of the target is $450.  There were no suspects at news time.

 

Pettis County Sheriff’s Reports

On Sunday, the Pettis County Sheriff’s Office received a report that someone had been damaging telephone poles along Sacajawea Road. There are no suspects.

Monday afternoon, a female victim reported to the Sheriff’s Office that her purse was stolen while she was visiting a home in the 800 block of McVey Road.

A Sedalia woman reported her vehicle was damaged at Tyson’s Foods located at 19571 Monday morning. There are no suspects.

 

Missouri State Highway Patrol Accident Reports

Just before 3 o’clock Sunday afternoon the Missouri State highway patrol reported a one vehicle injury accident, that occurred on Eastbound I-70 at the 29.6 mile marker.  According to the report, the accident happened as the driver of a 1987 Yamaha, 62-year-old Gerald Spaulding of Lexington, lost control, went off the shoulder and rolled. Spaulding suffered minor injuries and refused treatment at the scene.

At 6:48 Sunday evening, a Kansas City Mo. Woman, 26-year-old Krystal Cascone, was westbound on I-70 at mile marker 71.6 in Saline County when she failed to observe slowing traffic due to congestion. Cascone overcorrected while avoiding a car, ran off the roadway and struck a median cable. A passenger, 3-year-old Viva Kennedy, received minor injuries and refused treatment at the scene.
