The following Sedalia Police crime reports are from the afternoon of April 19, 2013.

Vehicle stop Thursday night nets man with multiple charges

At 9:25 Thursday night, Sedalia police stopped a vehicle in the area of 16th and Warren for expired registration. Upon contact with the driver, 24-year-old Ravil Ryakhmyatullov of Sedalia, he was found to have an active Johnson County Warrant. A further investigation revealed he was also in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. At the time of the police report, he was on 24-hour hold in the Pettis County Jail pending a cash bond of $2000 on the Johnson County warrant for possession of imitation drugs and formal charges of driving while suspended, displaying plates belonging to another person, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Suspended driver arrested following a traffic stop early this (Friday) morning

Around 2:30 this (Friday) morning, Sedalia police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at 16th and Ohio with a driver known to be suspended. Upon contact with the driver, 28-year-old Alexandria Bates of Sedalia, she was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail and placed on 24-hour hold pending charges of driving while suspended and no operator’s license.

Sedalia man reports a 9mm handgun stolen from his residence

Just before 3:30 this (Friday) morning, a complainant came to police headquarters to report the theft of a gun. According to the victim, someone stole his 9mm Hi-Point gun valued at $200 from his residence sometime after 2:00 Thursday afternoon. At the time of the police report there were no suspects.
