The following Sedalia Police crime reports are from the afternoon of Feb. 12, 2014.

Traffic stop Friday afternoon results in arrest for a Sedalia man

Just after 1 p.m. Friday afternoon, Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle with a driver known to be revoked. A check through dispatch confirmed, that 52-year-old Jackie Hensley of Sedalia was suspended and also had 5-warrants. The police report states Hensley also had a pair of brass knuckles in his pocket. Hensley was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail, and placed on 24-hour hold plus he was being held on a no-bond parole violation warrant.

Domestic disturbance investigated Tuesday night

Around 8:45 Tuesday night, Sedalia Police investigated a domestic disturbance at a residence in the 300 block of West 16th. Upon arrival, the female victim told the officers her boyfriend had hit her and choked her as he left the residence. The police report states the woman had bruises on her arm and marks on her neck. There was no further information in the police report.

Thief steals man’s firearm from his truck

On Tuesday, a victim in the 2400 block of West Main reported his Springfield firearm with a laser sight was stolen from the console of his truck sometime between the last part of January and Feb. 11. There was no information on a suspect at the time of the police report.
