The following Sedalia Police crime reports are from the afternoon of Feb. 14, 2013.

Domestic disturbance involving weapons investigated Wednesday evening

Around 6:40 Wednesday evening, Sedalia Police were dispatched to a domestic disturbance involving a weapon in the 1600 block of South Brown. Upon arrival, the male victim told officers that the suspect, 58-year-old Wayne Coslet of Sedalia, had thrown a knife at him during an argument. During an investigation, Coslet admitted he threw the knife at the victim and was arrested. At the time of the police report, Coslet was on 24-hour hold pending formal charges of 3rd degree domestic assault.

Traffic stop results in arrest for a Sedalia man

At 9:28 Wednesday night, Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle in the 300 block of West 13th for no license plate light. Upon contact with the driver, 23-year-old Cory Draper of Sedalia, he was found to be suspended out of Green County. Draper was arrested and taken to the Pettis County jail where he was booked and released with a court date.

Thieves use a skid loader in an attempt to steal money from an ATM Machine

Just after 4:00 this (Thursday) morning, Sedalia Police investigated an alarm at Advantage Metals. Upon arrival, officers found that someone had used a large company skid loader to damage the building in an attempt to reach an ATM Machine. The police report states it appeared the machine had not been compromised. While an official estimate of the damage was not available, an employee said the damage to the building would probably be between $80,000 - $100,000.
