The following Sedalia Police crime reports are from the afternoon of Feb. 19, 2014.

Early morning warrant check results in arrest for Sedalia man

At 1:36 this morning, Sedalia Police conducted a warrant check at a residence in the 1300 block of South Osage. Officers located the suspect, 28-year-old Justin Cochran of Sedalia, and following confirmation of the warrant, Cochran was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail pending $50,000 bond.

Three suspects arrested at Walmart on shoplifting and stealing charges

Around 7:20 Tuesday night, Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Walmart Store at 3201 West Broadway on a report of stealing. Upon arrival, the complainant told the officers three suspects had come back to the store to return stolen merchandise. Arrested at the scene were 28-year-old Fernando Martinez, 24-year-old Ashley Parish and 28-year-old Raul Jaquez-Garcia, all of Sedalia. The suspects were transported to the Pettis County jail and placed on 24-hour hold pending state charges.

Traffic stop results in arrest for a Hughesville man

Just after 10 p.m. Tuesday night, Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle at 3rd and Engineer for non-operational brake lights. A check on the occupants revealed that one of them, identified as 32-year-old Brandon Lee of Hughesville, had an active Pettis County warrant. Lee was arrested and transported to the Pettis County jail pending a $2500 bond.

Thieves target a Playstation and games in a home burglary Tuesday night

At 10:15 Tuesday night, a victim in the 1000 block of East 7th reported his home was forcibly entered while he was away, and a Playstation and several games was stolen from his residence. The Sedalia Police report states a window was damaged in the burglary. Value of the stolen items was placed at $250. There were no suspects at news time.
