The following Sedalia Police crime reports are from the afternoon of Feb. 22, 2013.

Sedalia man sought in a domestic assault case for throwing a woman down a flight of stairs 

On Thursday, Feb. 21, Sedalia police responded to a residence in the 500 block of South park on the report of a domestic assault. Upon arrival, the female victim told officers her husband had choked her and threw her down a flight of stairs. The suspect had fled the scene prior to the arrival of the police and was still being sought at the time of the police report.

Two Sedalia men arrested following an investigation Wednesday night

At 8:15 Wednesday night, Sedalia police were dispatched to the 200 block of East Morgan on a suspicious vehicle. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the occupants of the vehicle and found they were in possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia. The suspects, identified as 25-year-old Derek Bartlett and 26-year-old Brenton Hawkins, both of Sedalia, were arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail where they were placed on 24-hour hold pending formal charges.

27-year-old Sedalia man arrested on multiple charges

Around 7:30 Wednesday night, Sedalia police conducted a warrant check at a residence in the 1400 block of South Missouri. Upon contact with the suspect, 27-year-old Nick Lombardi of Sedalia, he was found to have multiple failure to appear warrants. At the time of the police report, Lombardi was being held in the Pettis County Jail pending a total of $25,088.50 in bonds on the warrants.

Warrant check lands a 34-year-old woman in jail

Just before 8:30 Thursday night, Sedalia police responded to the 1700 block of East 7th on a warrant check. Upon contact with the suspect, 34-year-old Lisa Phillips of Sedalia, she was arrested for failure to appear on the warrant. The police report states Phillips was taken to the Pettis County jail pending a $2550 bond.

Sedalia man arrested on drug charges after being stopped for walking in the roadway

At 11:30 Thursday night, Sedalia police stopped a subject for walking in the roadway in violation of city ordinance. A subsequent investigation revealed that the suspect, identified as 24-year-old Stephen Lappat of Sedalia, was in possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia. Lappat was arrested, transported to the Pettis County jail and placed on 24-hour hold pending formal charges

42-year-old Sedalia man arrested on drug charges Thursday night

Around 11:30 Thursday night, Sedalia police arrested 42-year-old Chad Arnwine of Sedalia at 3rd and Engineer for possession of a controlled substance. At the time of the police report, Arnwine was on 24-hour hold in the Pettis County jail pending formal charges.

Traffic stop results in arrest for a 19-year-old Sedalia woman

Just before 4:00 this (Friday) morning, Sedalia police stopped a vehicle at Broadway and Montgomery for no license plate. Upon contact with the driver, 19-year-old Rachel Wirtz of Sedalia, she was found to be suspended. Wirtz was arrested, taken to the Pettis County jail and placed on 24-hour hold pending charges.
