The following Sedalia Police crime reports are from the afternoon of Jan. 10, 2014.

Man arrested on warrant and drug related charges Thursday night

Just before 8 p.m. Thursday night, Sedalia Police observed a man walking in the middle of South Brown at 6th St. The police report states the suspect was recognized as a person with a warrant. Upon contact with the suspect, identified as 33-year-old Ronald Duncan of Sedalia, he attempted to avoid arrest on the warrant by giving officers a false identity. A check through dispatch confirmed that Duncan had an active failure to appear warrant out of Cass County for child neglect. The police report also states he was found to be in possession of controlled substances. At the time of the police report, Duncan was on 24-hour hold in the Pettis County Jail pending a $1500 bond on the warrant, pending drug related charges and charges of identity theft.

Man with a probation and parole warrant sought after a pursuit Wednesday

On Wednesday afternoon, Sedalia police pursued a vehicle in the area of 24th and Clinton Road with a driver known to have an active probation and parole warrant. The police report states the red Dodge Avenger entered a housing addition and drove at a high rate of speed, then the driver fled on foot and was not apprehended. The suspect is being sought and faces charges of resisting arrest, driving while suspended and the probation and parole warrant.

Hit-and-run suspect sought

At 9:17 Thursday morning a Sedalia woman reported a hit-and-run accident that occurred at Broadway and Ingram. The police report states there is a suspect in the case.

Gas drive off reported at Break Time

Just after midnight this (Friday) morning the Breaktime  at 318 West Broadway reported a gas drive off in the amount of $26.
