Deviate sexual assault case under investigation by Sedalia police

According to a press release from the Sedalia Police Department, police are investigating a case of deviate sexual assault/intercourse. The press release states during an investigation into a theft, a victim who was not named had made arrangements over the internet to meet with another individual for sex. The press release also states sex took place in an abandoned house after they met at a local business. The incident is currently under investigation.

Hughesville man arrested on a Benton County Warrant

Around 2:00 Saturday morning, Sedalia police were dispatched to a residence in the 500 block of West 6th on a warrant check. Upon contact with the suspect, 27-year-old Keith Lybarger of Hughesville, he was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail on a no-bond parole/probation violation warrant.

Traffic stop results in arrest for a Sedalia man Friday morning

Just before 9:00 Friday morning, Sedalia police stopped a vehicle at 14th and Limit when the vehicle was witnessed driving erratically. Upon contact with the driver, 36-year-old Shane Kreisel of Sedalia, the officer reported the odor of alcohol. At the time of the police report, Kreisel was in the Pettis County Jail pending charges of driving while intoxicated, careless driving and failure to signal for a turn.

Cole Camp woman arrested during a traffic stop Saturday night

Just after 9:00 Saturday night, Sedalia police stopped a vehicle at 4th and Brown for failure to signal for a turn. Upon contact with the driver, 23-year-old Sheera Bartlett of Cole Camp, she was found to be suspended and had a failure to appear warrant out of Sedalia. At the time of the police report, Sheera was in the Pettis County Jail pending a total of $916.50 in bonds.

Sedalia men arrested on driving violation charges Friday

At midnight on Friday, Sedalia police arrested Marc Head of Sedalia on charges of driving while intoxicated and driving while revoked.

26-year-old Manuel Gonzalez of Sedalia was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated. Bond on the charge was set at $533.50.

42-year-old Smithton man arrested Saturday evening

42-year-old Jerry Raps of Smithton was arrested Saturday evening on a failure to appear warrant. Bond on the warrant is $100.50.

Kansas truck recovered by police Saturday

Monday morning, Sedalia police recovered a vehicle that had been stolen from Kansas City, Kansas in the 700m block of West 7th.
