Woman reports a sexual assault that took place several years ago

According to a police report, a female victim came to the police station on Monday to report a sexual assault that took place several years ago.  The victim told officers the assault took place in the 400 block of East Broadway. The case is currently under investigation, but no suspect was in custody at the time of the police report.

Vehicle stolen from Kansas City recovered in Sedalia Monday afternoon

Around 1:30 yesterday afternoon, Sedalia police recovered a vehicle in the 1600 block of South Park, that had been reported stolen from the Kansas City area. The vehicle was towed to the tow lot pending further action.
