The following Sedalia Police crime reports are from the afternoon of June 4, 2013.

Sedalia woman arrested on four warrants Monday morning

At 10:40 Monday morning, Sedalia police conducted a warrant check on a subject in the area of 18th and Osage. Upon contact with the suspect identified as 24-year-old Melissa Keele of Sedalia, she was found to have four active warrants, one of which was a no-bond parole violation warrant. At the time of the police report, Keele was in the Pettis County Jail on the no-bond warrant plus $417 in total bonds on the other three warrants.

25-year-old female suspect arrested on an active warrant Monday morning

Around 11:15 Monday morning, Sedalia police were dispatched to a residence in the 500 block of South Grand to check on a suspect with a warrant. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the suspect, 25-year-old Elizabeth Walters of Sedalia. Following confirmation of the warrant, Walters was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail pending a $7500 bond.

Traffic stop results in arrest for a 41-year-old Sedalia man

Just after 2:30 on Monday afternoon, Sedalia police stopped a vehicle at 11th and Kentucky with a driver known to be revoked. Following confirmation, officers arrested 41-year-old Anthony Edgar of Sedalia for driving while revoked. Edgar was transported to the Pettis County Jail pending formal charges and a court date.

Thieves target construction company equipment on Sedalia’s west side

At 7:30 Monday morning, Sedalia police took a theft complaint from Ramey Construction on McFarland Road. According to the complainant, someone stole a black trencher that fits on the front of a Bobcat sometime between May 30 and Monday morning. The trencher, valued at between $5000 and $6000, was sitting on the ground behind 3129 West Broadway at the time it was stolen. There were no suspects at the time of the police report.

Vandals damage a truck in the 400 block of East Saline

Around 7:00 Monday morning, Sedalia police responded to the 400 block of East Saline on a property damage complaint. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim, who reported the vehicle had been scratched in several places by a sharp object. The tailgate had a derogatory remark scratched into its paint and the two passenger side tires had been slashed. There were no suspects at news time.

A Mongoose BMX Bicycle valued at $100 was reported stolen from a residence in the $1000 block of West 4th Monday morning. There were no suspects.
