Sedalia police arrest a 55-year-old Sedalia man on active warrants

At 8:11 Tuesday night, Sedalia police stopped a vehicle at 6th and Madison with a driver known to have two active warrants. Following confirmation of the warrants, officers arrested 55-year-old Jesse Snow of Sedalia and transported him to the Pettis County Jail pending bonds totaling $1010.

Revoked driver arrested Saturday afternoon in Sedalia

Just before 4:00 on Saturday afternoon, Sedalia police stopped a vehicle at West Morgan and North Park with a driver known to be revoked. Upon confirmation, 52-year-old Walter Rogers of Sedalia was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail where he was booked and released with a court date.

Two juveniles caught on video tape stealing items at Woods Express

Tuesday afternoon, an employee at Woods Express in the 700 block of East Broadway reported they had witnessed two juveniles stealing items from the store on May 1.  According to the Sedalia Police report, the employee witnessed the thefts as they were reviewing video tape taken at 2:30 on the May 1. There was no other information in the police report.

Hit-and-run accident reported Monday afternoon

At 12:44 Monday afternoon, a female victim filed a hit-and-run complaint with the Sedalia Police. According to the victim, someone backed into her 2004 Pontiac parked in the 1900 block of West Main and left the area without notifying anyone sometime overnight.  The police report states a suspect has been identified in the incident and charges are being sought.

Thieves target storage unit on West Main

Around noon on Saturday, Sedalia police took a burglary complaint from a female victim. According to the victim, thieves had stolen several items from her storage unit in the 1700 block of West Main. There were no suspects at news time, and the victim could not be sure if there were more items missing until she checked the unit thoroughly.
