Here are your Sedalia Police crime reports for the afternoon of Oct. 31, 2012.

Two suspects arrested for a robbery at gunpoint

At 9:40 Saturday night, a male victim came to the police station to report he had been robbed at gunpoint in the area of Tower Avenue. Following investigation officers arrested two suspects in the case. At the time of the police report, 28-year-old Brandon Koch and 21-year-old Jacob Aster of Sedalia were on 24-hour hold at the Pettis County Jail pending charges of robbery and stealing. Aster is also facing a charge of filing a false report according to the police report.

33-year-old Sedalia man arrested on multiple charges

Just before 9 o’clock Tuesday night, Sedalia police made contact with a male subject in the 100 block of East 16th with an active warrant. Following the arrest the suspect was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and marijuana. 33-year-old James Smith of Sedalia was taken to the Pettis County Jail and placed on 24-hour hold pending state charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Smith also has a $2500 bond on the active warrant for violation of an order of protection.

Suspect sought after causing a disturbance at a local business

At 10:15 Tuesday morning, Sedalia police were sent to Charter Communications at 201 West 7th on a disturbance. Upon arrival, the complainant told officers an upset subject had caused a disturbance and was cursing. The subject had already left the business when officers arrived. There was no other information in the police report.

Property in the 1900 block of East Broadway targeted by copper thieves

Monday morning, a Sedalia man filed a theft complaint with the Sedalia Police Department. According to the victim, he went to a residence in the 1900 block of East Broadway to winterize the house and found that thieves had removed the copper piping from the basement. Estimated cost to replace the piping was set at $2500. There were no suspects at news time.

A Truck was reported stolen from a landscape business on Sedalia’s north side

At 6:41 Monday evening, Sedalia police were dispatched to Hardscape Landscape located at 1014 Market Street on a report of a vehicle theft. Upon arrival, the victim told officers someone stole a truck belonging to the business sometime overnight. There were no suspects at the time of the police report.
