Two suspects arrested in an alley for outstanding warrants

At 10:52 Monday night Sedalia police made contact with two subjects in an alley behind a business in the 1600 block of South Missouri. A check through dispatch revealed a female identified as 27-year-old Celesta
Casdorph of Smithton had a city warrant for failure to appear. Casdorph was arrested and taken to the Pettis County jail, pending a cash only bond of $120. A male suspect, 29-year-old Christopher Riggs of Sedalia, was found to have a Pettis County Warrant. At the time of the police report he was in the Pettis County Jail pending a $1000 bond.

 

Man walking in the area of 13th and Lamine arrested on a city warrant

Just after 3 o’clock this morning, Sedalia police conducted a subject check on a male subject, who was walking in the roadway at 13th and Lamine.  A subsequent check on the man, identified as 23-year-old Dimitriv Balaban of Sedalia, revealed he had an active warrant out of Cooper County. He was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail pending a $500 cash only bond.

 

Lee’s Summit man injured in a motorcycle accident

At 7:45 Monday morning, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a motorcycle accident on I-70 at the Eastbound 71.8 mile marker. The accident occurred according to the report when the driver of the 2012 Victory Motorcycle, 51-year-old William Oothout of Lee’s Summit lost control of the motorcycle, traveled off the roadway and overturned, ejecting the driver. Oothout received serious injuries in the accident, and was taken to St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City by Staff For Life for treatment.

 

49-year-old Sedalia man injured in a one-vehicle accident Monday afternoon

Around 3:30 yesterday afternoon, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a one-vehicle accident that occurred on US 50 Highway just before Northwest 1201 Road in Johnson County.  According to the report, the driver of a 2002 Ford F-250, 49-year-old David Dunham of Sedalia, lost control of the vehicle in a curve, ran off the roadway and overturned, coming to rest on its wheels. Dunham received minor injuries, and was transported to Centerpoint Hospital for treatment.

 

Independence couple injured in a motorcycle accident in Johnson County Sunday

At 1:38 Sunday afternoon The Missouri State Highway Patrol and Warrensburg Police reported a motorcycle accident that occurred on Missouri 13 at Route DD in Johnson County. The accident happened as the driver
of a 2006 Kawasaki, 44-year-old David Arney of Independence, reportedly lost control of the motorcycle in a curve and overturned. Arney and a passenger, 41-year-old Debra Arney, received minor injuries and were taken to Centertpoint Hospital in Independence by ambulance for treatment.
