The following Sedalia Police crime reports and Missouri State Highway Patrol accident reports are from the afternoon of Feb. 12, 2013.

Two people arrested Monday night on Pettis County Warrants

Just before 9:00 Monday night, Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle at Broadway and Carr for a traffic violation. A check of the occupants of the vehicle revealed they had active warrants out of Pettis County for pursuing/taking/killing, and possessing wildlife illegally. At the time of the police report, both suspects, identified as 23-year-old Henry Rivera and 21-year-old Samantha Perez of Sedalia, were in the Pettis County Jail pending bonds of $1000 each.

Johnson County accident injures a Knob Noster man

At 4:30 Sunday morning, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a two-vehicle accident on US 50 Highway just west of Missouri 13 in Johnson County. The accident occurred as an unknown vehicle attempted to turn into a crossover lane and struck a 2004 Ford F-150 driven by 21-year-old Lewis Curtis of Knob Noster, who was attempting to pass. The Curtis vehicle then began to slide and ran off the roadway, striking a ditch. The other vehicle left the scene according to the report. Lewis received minor injuries and was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center by Johnson County EMS for treatment.
