Sedalia man arrested on several warrants Wednesday night

At 7:00 Wednesday night Sedalia police observed a suspect at 11th and Osage with active warrants for failure to appear out of Pettis County. A check through dispatch also revealed a no-bond parole warrant on the suspect, identified as 41-year-old James Miller of Sedalia. At the time of the police report, Miller was in the Pettis County jail on two failure to appear warrants with bonds totaling $20. Miller was also being held on the no-bond parole violation  warrant.

Rural Sedalia woman arrested on a Sedalia warrant

Around 5:30 Wednesday evening, a female suspect identified as 24-year-old Celsea Vinson of rural Sedalia turned herself in at the Sedalia police station on a Sedalia Municipal warrant for no insurance. Bond on the warrant was set at $200 cash only.

Johnson County accident injures two Chilhowee victims

At 5:45 Wednesday evening, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a two-vehicle accident on Missouri Highway 13 at County Road Southeast 1250 in Johnson County. The accident occurred when the driver of a 2010 Ford, 25-year-old William Dzula of Chilhowee, failed to yield at a stop sign and struck a 2013 Jeep driven by 26-year-old Sarah Shoemaker of Calhoun in the passenger side. The accident report stated that Dzula and a passenger, 25-year-old Eric Atkinson also of Chilhowee, were not wearing seat belts and were injured in the accident. Both victims were transported to the hospital by air ambulance for treatment. Atkinson suffered serious injuries, while Dzula was treated for moderate injuries.
