Warrant Check Monday evening nets man with three active warrants

At 6:35 Monday evening, Sedalia Police responded to a residence in the 2600 block of Bristol Lane for a warrant check. Upon contact with the suspect, 23-year-old Jonathon Byrd of Sedalia, three active warrants were confirmed for failure to appear.  Byrd was arrested and transported to the Pettis County jail pending formal charges.

Sedalia woman suffers serious injuries in a Pettis County accident

Just after 11a.m. Saturday morning, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a two-vehicle injury accident on Highway 65 and Grand Avenue in Pettis County. The accident reportedly occurred as the 1997 Ford driven by 53-year-old Pedro Contreras of Sedalia pulled into the path of a 2010 KIA driven by 58-year-old Linda Ekstram, also of Sedalia. The KIA swerved to avoid the Ford, traveled off the roadway, then struck an embankment and a fence. Ekstram suffered serious injuries in the accident and was transported to the University Hospital by Staff of Life.

Henry County accident injures a Clinton girl Saturday night

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, 16-year-old Andrea Gegner failed to stop at a “T” intersection on Northwest 301 Road at Division Road in Henry County around 9:30 Saturday night. Gegner’s 2006 Dodge Charger traveled off of the roadway, where it struck a fence post and tree, causing moderate damage to the vehicle. Gegner received minor injuries in the crash and was taken to Golden Valley Hospital by EMS for treatment.

Knob Noster woman injured in a Johnson County accident Monday morning

At 8:30 Monday morning, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a one-vehicle accident on US-50 Highway and County Road Northeast 501 in Johnson County. The accident occurred as the 2003 Volkswagen driven by 21-year-old Trista Walker traveled off the roadway and struck a concrete culvert before coming to rest in the grass. Walker suffered minor injuries and was taken to Western Missouri Medical in Warrensburg by Johnson County EMS for treatment.
