Female suspect is sought in an assault incident Tuesday

At 12:36 Tuesday afternoon, Sedalia police took an assault complaint from a female victim in the 300 block of East 13th. According to the victim, a woman in a grey car approached her, grabbed her by the hair and pulled her to the ground. The suspect was being sought at the time of the police report . There was no information on any injuries as a result of the incident.

Hit-and-run accident investigated on Monday

Around noon on Monday, Sedalia police responded to a reported hit-and-run accident that occurred in the 500 block of South Ohio. The female victim told officers that a vehicle backed onto Ohio and struck her vehicle in the passenger side door with its rear bumper. The report states the only description of the striking vehicle was that it is white. There was no other information in the police report.

33-year-old Columbia man injured in a Benton County accident

At 3:26 Tuesday afternoon, a Columbia man received moderate injuries in a one-vehicle accident that occurred on Route “MM” at Kindle Road in Benton County. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the 2002 Chevrolet driven by 33-year-old Lloyd Cabra of Columbia traveled off the right side of the roadway, returned to the roadway and entered the median where it overturned. Cabra was transported to Bothwell regional Health Center here in Sedalia by Lincoln Ambulance for treatment.

Johnson County accident injures a 31-year-old Knob Noster woman

Just before 8:00 Monday morning, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a two vehicle accident on Missouri 23 3/10 of a mile South of Route “DD” in Johnson County. According to the accident report, the accident occurred as the driver of a 2012 Jeep Patriot, 51-year-old Edward Flores of Knob Noster, failed to yield to the 1995 Ford Crown Victoria driven by 31-year-old Elizabeth Barlow as it was attempting to make a left turn. The Flores vehicle turned in front of the Barlow vehicle and struck it in the front. While both vehicles received extensive damage in the accident, Barlow, who was wearing her seat belt, received only minor injuries and refused treatment at the scene.
