Sedalia man arrested Tuesday afternoon on a Parole Absconder Warrant

At 4:10 Tuesday afternoon, Sedalia police responded to the Probation and Parole Office located at 205 Thompson Blvd. on a suspect with a parole absconder warrant. Upon arrival, officers took 36-year-old Shane Longie of Sedalia into custody and transported him to the Pettis County Jail on the no-bond warrant.

Sedalia man suffers crushing injury in an industrial accident this morning

Just after 7:00 this morning, Sedalia police responded to the Sedalia Machine Works at 415 Marshall Ave. on an industrial accident. Upon arrival, officers found a 53-year-old Sedalia man who had suffered a crushing injury to his right arm on a corrugated machine. The victim was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center for treatment.

Storage units are reported broken into Monday

Sedalia police were called to Somerset Apartments at 802 Ruth Ann Drive on Monday on a complaint from management. Upon arrival, the manager of the facility told officers that seven rental storage units had their padlocks cut off. The renters of the units had not been contacted at the time of the police report and it was not known if anything missing.

Thefts from a motor vehicle investigated in the 1600 block of South Montgomery

At 5:00 this morning, Sedalia police investigated thefts from a motor vehicle that took place overnight in the 1600 block of South Montgomery. According to the male victim, someone stole several items from his vehicle that were valued at around $20. There were no suspects at news time.

Early morning Pettis County accident injures a 37-year-old Warrensburg man

Around 3:15 this morning, the Missouri State Highway Patrol assisted by the Pettis County Sheriff’s Office reported a one-vehicle accident on US 50 Highway at Pleasant Green Road in Pettis County. The accident reportedly occurred as the driver of a 2012 Kawasaki, 37-year-old Danny Moon of Warrensburg, attempted a turn and overturned. The accident report states the driver was ejected and suffered moderate injuries. Moon was taken to Western Missouri Medical Center by private vehicle for treatment.
