Greenwood man injured in a Lafayette County accident Wednesday

At 11:25 Wednesday night, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a one-vehicle injury accident that occurred on Eastbound Exit 37A in Lafayette County. According to the report, the accident happened as the driver of a 2008 Hyundai, 53-year-old Brian Thomas of Greenwood, attempted to exit off of Interstate I-70, failed to negotiate a sharp right hand curve, ran off the side of the roadway and impacted a ditch. Thomas received moderate injuries in the accident and was transported to Centerpoint Medical Center by EMS for treatment.

Gas Drive offs reported at Casey’s

Just before 7:00 Wednesday morning, the Casey’s Convenience Store in the 1600 block of East Broadway reported a white female in a Beige SUV drove off without paying for $25 worth of gas.

At 1:39 Wednesday afternoon a white female pumped $20.60 worth of gas at the Casey’s in the 1900 block of  West Main, then drove off without paying. There is a suspect in the drive off, but it is not known if both incidents are connected.
