Sedalia woman reports she is the victim of fraud

On Thursday, a Sedalia woman reported she was a victim of bank and credit card fraud. According to the victim, thousands of dollars has been taken from her account and her Sears and JC Penny’s Cards have been used without her permission. The victim said she believes her Sears card was used to make $5000 in purchases without her permission. There was no information on possible suspects at news time.

Car and truck accident results in arrest for a 62-year-old Sedalia man

At 7:10 Wednesday night, Sedalia Police responded to a vehicle accident involving a truck and car in the area of 24th and Ohio. Following an investigation, the driver of the car, identified as 62-year-old Terry Emo of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County jail on a charge of driving while intoxicated. Bond on the charge was set at $533.50.

Burglary report filed by a female victim Thursday afternoon

Just after noon on Thursday, Sedalia Police were dispatched to a residence in the 400 block of East 5th on a burglary complaint. Upon arrival, the female victim told officers someone entered her home through a window and stole a Dell Notebook and Wii Console valued at $650. There were no suspects.

MSHP Accident Reports

Just after 7 Wednesday night, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a one-vehicle injury accident. The accident reportedly occurred on Westbound I-70 at mile marker 64.2 when the 2013 Scion driven by 43-year-old Carolyn Sheafer of Columbia traveled off the roadway and struck an embankment. Sheafer suffered moderate injuries and was taken to I-70 Medical Center by Sweet Springs EMS for treatment.
