Sedalia Police arrested 32-year-old Dustin J. Simmons of Versailles at 8:30 this morning at 14th and Montgomery after a conducting a traffic stop on a 2001 Pontiac Gran Prix. He was found to be Driving While Suspended. Simmons was taken to the SPD, where he was issued a Municipal Court summons for June 6 and released.


 

Sedalia Police arrested 21-year-old Jose L. Romero on Tuesday after conducting a traffic stop on a Ford van at 14th and Osage for disobeying a stop sign. Romero has two prior convictions for no operator's license and was found to be driving again with no driver's license. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail where he was issued a citation for court on June 20.


 

Sedalia Police were called to CVS Pharmacy, 11 E. Broadway, for a report of theft of prescription medications shortly after 10 a.m. this morning (Tuesday). The suspect, 34-year-old Andrew J. Shaw of Sedalia, was taken into custody for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Felony Stealing of a Controlled Substance. Shaw was taken to the Pettis County Jail on 24-hour-hold pending the formal filing of charges.


 

Sedalia Police arrested 29-year-old Amanda Ann Teiberis after conducting a traffic stop on a blue Toyota for no license plates at 9th and Vermont Monday just after 11 p.m. A computer check revealed that Teiberis was wanted on a probation violation for Possession of Marijuana. In addition the SPD's K-9 unit was deployed at the scene and he alerted to the presence of methamphetamine. Teiberis was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a 24-hour hold. Her cash or surety bond was set at $2,500.


 

Sedalia Police arrested 63-year-old Cheryl L. Milburn of Sedalia after conducting a traffic stop Monday just after 9 p.m. The driver (Milburn) was found to be intoxicated. She was taken to the Pettis County Jail, where she was booked and released, with a June 13 court date.


 

Sedalia Police arrested Shawn Wesley Spellmeyer after conducting a warrant check at 319 S. Lamine at 11:51 p.m. Monday. He was wanted on a Johnson County warrant for felony non-support of a child. Spellmeyer was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $500 cash bond.


 

The Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested 20-year-old Nathaniel J. Knapp of Sedalia on Monday at 11:26 p.m. in Johnson County for Driving While Impaired (drugs) and also a lane violation. He was later released.
