Sedalia Police reports 8-10-16

Sedalia Police arrested Gina M. Robinson, 53, Sedalia, after a traffic stop that occurred at Broadway and Summit Monday afternoon. She consented to a search of her purse, which revealed loose prescription pills. Robinson claimed they belonged to someone else. Before being placed into handcuffs, she reportedly shoved syringes down her pants, the report said. She was then transported to the Pettis County Jail where a strip search was conducted, and the syringes were recovered from her underwear. Robinson was held on a 24-hour hold, pending state charges for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Synthetic Drugs (Demerol, Methado), Tampering with Evidence-Felony, and Schedule II Narcotics Not Kept In Their Original Container.

On Friday around 3 p.m., Sedalia Police received a report from Children's Division about a child sex crime that possibly happened at a Sedalia address.

Sedalia Police arrested Trevor S. Baker, Smithton, for Driving While Suspended after a traffic stop for a defective tail light around 6 p.m. Tuesday. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail, booked and released with a court date of Sept. 21.

Break Time, 2801 W. Broadway, reported a gas drive-off at Pump #8 on Tuesday night around 9:45 p.m. Someone left without paying for $7.47 of fuel.

Kohl's, 4300 Wisconsin, reported the theft of $44 of clothing Tuesday night around 7:25 p.m. Police were unable to locate the suspect.

Police took a property damage report in the 1500 block of S. Harrison Tuesday. Someone damaged a window on a vehicle parked overnight at the residence.

Becca's Framing, 308 S. Ohio, reported found property in the alley behind the business on Monday afternoon. Found were a small air tank and a fishing tackle box, which were placed into evidence.

A wallet was found in the roadway near 1611 S. Limit Tuesday night. An attempt to contact the owner was unsuccessful. The wallet was placed into custody for safekeeping until its owner is located.
