Sedalia Police crime reports 8-16-17

On Friday, Kenneth D. Hartman reported $700 of damage to his vehicle in the 1600 block of E. 11th. According to the report, the suspect, who has not yet been contacted, punch the victim's vehicle.


 

On Sunday, Nicholas A. Howe, 29, Sedalia, was arrested after a traffic stop for a minor traffic violation at 16th and Vermont. Howe was wanted on a parole violation and also on a Pettis County warrant. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail with no bond.


 

Alexander T. Alexander, 24, Sedalia, was arrested at 12:37 Sunday after Sedalia Police responded to a noise complaint. Alexander was wanted on a Pettis County probation violation. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $2,000 cash and a $2,500 cash or surety bond.


 

On Saturday night around 11:41 p.m., at 3201 W. 16th, witnesses reported seeing a white stretch truck with eight doors back into a parked vehicle in the lot, then leave. The suspect has not yet been identified.


 

On Monday night, Keith Eldon Wolfe, 31, Sedalia, was arrested after a traffic stop on a maroon Ford van for improper license plates. Wolfe was wanted on a Knob Noster warrant for domestic assault. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail. On a $500 bond. He now has a court date of Sept. 26.


 

On Monday, Gary Charlie Brown, Sr., 59, Sedalia, was arrested on a Municipal summons at 5:42 p.m. Brown was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $93.50 bond and an Aug. 23 court date.


 

Management at Wal-Mart, 3201 W. Broadway, reported that a suspect entered the store, placed items under a large purse, then go through the self-check line. The suspect left the store without paying after being confronted by employees. The items were valued at $33.23.


 

Deandre Anthony L. Laney, 20, Sedalia, was arrested on a Municipal warrant for back fines in the 800 block of E. Broadway on Saturday. Laney was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $50 bond. He has a Sept. 13 court date.


 

On Sunday morning, Barbara A. Bremer reported that someone burned part of her privacy fence earlier that morning in the 1700 block of E. 6th. According to the report, the suspect was identified and the two parties came to an agreement on getting the fence fixed and damages paid for. The victim will not pursue charges.


 

Lilly E. Fields, 43, Sedalia, was arrested for assault on Thursday, Aug. 10, after police responded to a disturbance in the 500 W. Broadway. The suspect allegedly pushed the victim. Fields was issued a summons.


 

On Saturday, David Esser reported the theft of a 50cc Tao Tao motor scooter from behind his residence. The scooter was valued at $550. There are no suspects.


 

On Monday, Joseph Carr reported the theft of between $1,000 and $1,500 of items from a vehicle he was working on in the 700 block of W. Main.


 

Nathan Eric Potts, 19, Marshall, was arrested by Missouri State Fair security after they responded to a call of a C & I driver near the State Fair Arena. The driver was found to be a minor in possession of alcohol and was transported to the Pettis County Jail until he sobered up. His court date is to be determined.


 

Gracia Alejo Ubaldo, 24, Sedalia, was arrested for identity theft on Friday. Ubaldo was taken to the Pettis County Jail.


 

Dena M. Andrews, Sedalia, reported the theft of $1235 of items from her apartment in the 400 block of E. Broadway. The suspect was not located.


 

On Saturday, Carolyn Salmons reported a hit-and-run accident that occurred while she was northbound on Limit, when a black passenger car drove onto the curb and around her on the right side of the roadway, striking her car, causing minor damage. The suspect was not located.


 

On Tuesday morning, management at Perkins, 1100 S. Limit, reportd that the front door was damaged with large pry marks. The incident occurred sometime between 12 a.m. on Aug. 14 and 12 a.m. Aug. 15. The restaurant was not entered, according to the report.


 

On Aug. 10, Igor I. Sarioglo, 30, La Monte, was arrested near 32nd and Limit after El Espolon reported a disturbance and stolen food just before 5:30 p.m. Police stopped a maroon Dodge Ram 150 and the passenger was arrested for open container. Sarioglo was issued a Municipal summons. El Espolon did not wish to pursue charges.


 

On Monday, Antonio Mataque reported the theft of his weed wacker, which was left on his porch in the 1800 block of S. Osage.


 

On Tuesday morning, a citizen reported finding two syringes left on a sidewalk in the 500 block of W. 2nd. The syringes were collected by police and taken to the SPD for disposal.


 

On Aug. 13 at 3:38 a.m., Missouri State Fair security arrested Casey L. Heiman, 24, Butler, for 1st Degree trespassing and resisting arrest for a felony at 1800 Clarendon Road. According to the report, the man was previously removed from the property and told not to come back. He refused to leave the fairgrounds, but then tried to run away from the officer on foot. A foot pursuit then ensued and Heiman was later arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail., where he was booked and released, pending the filing of state charges.


 

On Saturday evening, Harvey Townsend, 59, Sedalia, was arrested by Sedalia Police after a traffic stop on a blue Ford Taurus at 3rd and Missouri. He was charged with Driving While Suspended out of Arkansas and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released.
