Sedalia Police reports 8-29-16
Sedalia Police arrested Camille JM Prentice, 27, Stover, Sunday evening on three outstanding warrants: A Clay County warrant for possession of amphetamine ($5,000 bond); A St. Clair County warrant for a parole violation ($2,500 bond); and a Jackson County warrant for a probation violation ($5,000 bond). Prentice was transported to the Pettis County Jail with a court date to be determined.

Amber N. Redmon, 18, Sedalia, was arrested in the 1900 block of S. Ingram Sunday night for 2nd degree Assault with a Knife. She was transported to the Pettis County Jail on a 24-hold hold, pending the filing of state charges.

Police took an assault and theft report that occurred Friday night at Housel Park, 201 E. Howard. According to the report, an altercation occurred when the suspect, known to the victim, struck him on the basketball court, then stole his bike, worth $150. There have been no arrests at the time of the report.

Kevin A. Murray, 35, Sedalia, was arrested on two counts of stealing after a business in the Thompson Hills Shopping Center reported a white male who took items from the store without paying. According to the report, the suspect took security tags off clothing and left behind the clothes he was wearing in the dressing room. The clothing he left turned out to be stolen from another business in the 3100 block of W. Broadway. The suspect was later located near Broadway and Vermont. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail on a 24-hold for stealing.

Police took a theft report in the 1200 block of E. 6th on Sunday involving items stolen, including jewelry, Samung phone and cash, totaling $1,210. A suspect has not been identified at the time of the report.

Police investigated shots fired in the 1700 block of S. Beacon on Sunday afternoon. A total of three bullet holes were located in the residence.

Sedalia Police took Zachary M. Wojnarowski, 21, Cole Camp, into custody at the Pettis-Benton county line on Saturday night for Failure to Appear upon Arrest of Summons. His bond was set at $150 with a court date of Sept. 19.

Sedalia Police took Michael A. Fernandez, 25, Sedalia, into custody Friday morning at the Pettis-Benton county line for Failure to Appear Upon Arrest or Summons on a Municipal warrant. Bond was set at $88.50 with a court date of Sept. 21.

Robert Nicholas Bishop, 73, Smithton, was arrested for Failure to Appear-misdemeanor after a traffic stop at Broadway and Hancock on a Pettis County warrant. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail on a $1,500 bond.

Mark A. Dean, 23, Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Revoked and Possession of Marijuana after a traffic stop near 6th and Hancock Sunday. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail on a 24-hour hold.

Police arrested Steven G. Newman, in the 300 block of Buckner Court on a Pettis County warrant on Saturday.

Farris L. Higginbotham, 19, Sedalia, was arrested after a traffic stop at 2nd and Moniteau for no valid driver's license and failure to drive on the right side of the roadway on Saturday evening.

Bailey Austeen Adams, 19, Smithton, was arrested for Driving While Suspended and defective headlights after a traffic stop at 3rd and Gentry Saturday night. Adams was transported to the Pettis County Jail, booked and released with a court date of Sept. 5.

Michael Anthony Baez, 34, Sedalia, was arrested on a Pettis County warrant Saturday afternoon.

Christopher Eugene Bartlett, 40, Sedalia, was arrested on a Pettis County warrant and recommended for an eight-day stay at the Pettis County Jail.

On Friday, a woman reported that her landlord had removed $335 worth of items from a house she was renting from him in the 600 block of E. 16th.

Police took a report on Sunday of a weapon stolen from a 2007 Z71 Chevy Tahoe parked in the 2900 block of W. 11th. Taken was a Ruger 380 ACP pistol, valued at $150.

Performance Automotive, 501 W. Main, reported on Saturday morning that a hole was cut in their fence and a 2006 ZHEJ scooter, valued at $800, was removed from the property sometime overnight.

On Sunday, police took a report of a woman's purse containing a Central Band Card, driver's license and $200, stolen from a 2015 Nissan Sentra while parked in the 1000 block of W 2nd sometime between Saturday and Sunday. The purse was later found in the street without the items.

Casey's General Store, 30350 S. Limit, reported a gas drive-off on Sunday at 1:17 p.m. The suspect was an older white male driving a green van. He allegedly drove away without paying for $32.50 in fuel.

And Pettis County deputies took a theft report of a green 1998 Ford Ranger taken from a residence in the 21000 block of Highway B on Sunday.
