Sedalia Police crime reports 12-13-17

On Wednesday at 4:48 a.m., Sedalia Police arrested Darrin A. Pullen, 36, Sedalia, on three charges: Probation and Parole Violation out of Missouri, a Muncipal warrant out a Sedalia (peace disturbance) and a felony peace disturbance. SPD was called to a disturbance in a car in an alley west of the 400 block of S. Quincy. A passenger in the vehicle bailed as an officer approached, but was stopped by a dead end. Pullen was handcuffed, identified and taken to the Pettis County Jail. Bond was $100 on the Municipal warrant and no bond on the probation and parole violation.


 

America C. Perez, 43, Sedalia, was arrested for shoplifting at T.J. Maxx, where she was an employee. According to a written statement she wrote Perez admitted to stealing at the store, 3105 W. Broadway. She was taken to the Pettis County Jail, where she was booked and released, pending the filing of state charges.


 

Shaylee L. Lynch, 17, Sedalia, and Derick Brent Schreiner, 40, Independence, were both arrested at Green Ridge Road and Snyder Avenue. Police made a car stop on a gray Chevy Impala on Tuesday, according to a report. The driver was charges with Felony Driving While Revoked, Possession of marijuana, Possession of a Controlled Substance in a Jail, while the passenger was charged with Possession of Marijuana.


 

Lyle I. Ragar, 23, Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Suspended after Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a Ford Escape for speeding at Broadway and Quincy Monday morning. Ragar was taken to the Pettis County Jail.


 

Samantha M. Smith, 23, Sedalia, was arrested on a warrant and taken to the Pettis County Jail at 8:56 a.m. Wednesday.


 

Brandy G. Higginbotham, 36, Edwardsville, Kan., was arrested on a Johnson County warrant at 9:52 a.m. Wednesday and taken to the Pettis County Jail.


 

Kala Marie Denny, 23, Green Ridge, was arrested on two Saline County warrants after Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop after an officer observed her disregard a stop light at Broadway and Limit at 10:57 p.m. Tuesday. The stop took place at N. Limit and Duke Drive. She was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $510 bond.


 

On Wednesday, Timothy J. Sheets reported the theft of a geode values at $2,000 and a wedding ring valued at $850 and several other smaller items from his residence in the 800 block of W. 4th. According to a report, he accused an acquaintance he allowed to live with him for 1 ½ months of the crime. Investigation continues.


 

On Dec. 5, Ivy Shannon reported that someone stole her wallet from her car and used the information contained in it to open lines of credit in another state.


 

On Monday, Amanda R. Viles, reported that someone cut her tire and placed oil in her gas tank in the 1300 block of S. Ohio. A suspect was named, but not yet located.


 

On Wednesday morning, Kristen L. Nicholson reported the theft of an MP3 player, unknown games, two hoodies and a pair of Nike Sliders from her residence sometime between 10 a.m. Monday and 12 p.m. Tuesday.


 

On Monday, Mark A. McNeal reported $5,000 of damage to his vehicle that occurred in the 600 block of E. 17th. There are no suspects.


 

On Tuesday, Break Time, 2801 W. Broadway, reported that a female in an older model Chevy Caprice pumped gas and left without paying for it.
