SPD reports 12-19-16

Sedalia Police arrested Michael A. Groves, 30, Warsaw, for Driving While Suspended after a traffic stop on a black Chevy SUV on Friday at 1:10 a.m. near Tiger Pride Blvd. Groves was transported to the Pettis County Jail, booked and released with a court date of Jan. 18.

Nathaniel L. Willis, Sedalia, was arrested for a Probation Violation at the Sedalia Wal-Mart, 3201 W. Broadway, at 11:48 p.m. on Friday night.

Scorpio D. Hernton, 35, was arrested in the 2300 block of E. Broadway on Sunday morning and charged with Exceeding the Speed Limit, Driving While Suspended and Resisting Arrest. Hernton was transported to the Pettis County Jail.

Sedalia Police took a report of damage to a vehicle while parked at the Sedalia Wal-Mart lot, 3201 W. Broadway, on Saturday afternoon. According to the report, someone apparently pushed down on the driver's side mirror and broke it loose. There are no suspects.

Timothy J. Bruce reported that someone slashed a tire on his vehicle Thursday while it was parked overnight in his driveway in the 400 block of W. 4th. There are no suspects identified in the case.

Patricia A. Sutton reported the theft of $1,305 from her purse in the 1700 block of W. 16th on Friday afternoon. There are no suspects.
