Sedalia Police arrested William C. Hammerly, 46, Sedalia, for Driving While Intoxicated after police received a call about an intoxicated driver who drove their vehicle into a drainage ditch at 2801 W. Broadway Monday around 11 a.m. Upon arrival, officers found the vehicle was indeed partially suspended over the ditch. He turned out to be intoxicated. Hammerly was arrested and taken to the SPD for questioning, then on to the Pettis County Jail.


 

On Monday morning, David Gardner reported that a known suspect stole his deceased father's ashes during a funeral service. After more investigation, it was determined  that it is a civil issue and no charges are being sought by the complainant.


 

On Monday morning, the manager at Dollar General reported that two males entered the store at 713 E. Broadway and stole a pair of socks, underwear and shirts, valued at $23.35. The suspects were identified through investigation. Management requested the suspects return to the store and pay for the items in lieu of criminal charges being filed.
